06:45 ... The sound of the alarm clock somehow reaches consciousness... Although the first moments are always somewhere between sleeping and waking, getting up is inevitable. 5 Tibetans are there, as well as the pleasant smell of coffee. The "not so small child" complains a little about getting up, but it is a day for school in this strange new normal.
Playing the piano, recording one video, then another, although the other lasted until noon... in countless attempts to be any good. Only then could my feet enjoy a walk to the harbour.
Small boats tied to the dock are calmly waiting for Friday afternoon when the owners maybe will visit them. Mostly these are modest boats used for the weekend.
Large fishing boats have long since arrived in port, early in the morning because they fish at night.
The nets are drying in the sun, stretched on the floor.
However, some nets are gathered already.
Nice colours, right?
Waiting for tommorow, for a new fishing day...
Altea, this small town, with its fishing history, proudly looks towards the sea, towards its former source of progress. In recent decades, tourism has taken the lead, but the tradition is still there. And fortunately, while there are fish in the sea, there will also be fishing traditions.
I don't stop there. I climb the firewall to enjoy the more spacious view of the blue.
These huge concrete cubes serve to protect the wall of the harbour, but some found it interesting to decorate them.
Seagulls are inevitable here. Where there are fish, there are seagulls. I managed to catch a picture of a seagull flying low over the sea.
For motorcycle enthusiasts, here’s a Yamaha. Bikers seem to love fishing too.
My short visit ended there, other commitments also awaited me. All pictures were taken today in the town of Altea, Spain. Thank you for your time spent with me in this post, I really appreciate it. 🤗
