Recycling E-Sigarettes - My Actifit Report Card: March 30 2026

Lately I was engaging with another cycling community members post, Hive account@flemingfarm is picking up E-Sigarettes to prevent the batteries go and leak toxic chemicals into the environment. I replied there aren't as many in my country but today I spotted two, so I picked them up to remove the battery from it.

The first one was easy to take apart, the back where the battery is, could be opened with a small screwdriver, but the second had the opening at the front so I needed to pull everything out with pliers.

I later learned the residue liquid inside is still highly toxic and you should not touch it with the skin, good thing I was wearing gloves!

Now I know this, I don't know how good this idea was and maybe I can better deliver them completely intact to a recycling point.
