Today we visited the city of Bayeux, it's the fourth day of our vacation and a nice change to the beach and swimming pool.
Bayeux has a beautiful cathedral, the Notre-Dame, it's build started in the 12th century.
Inside it is as beautiful as the outside.
As in a lot of places in Normandy, the fallen soldiers on D-day are honored and remembered in the cathedral too, this part of Normandy was liberated by Canadian soldiers and until today, every town has the Canadian flag together with the French flag in the flag poles. (although this memorial is for the British army)
The medieval town centre had some very pretty buildings too, it was a pleasure to walk around in.
After dinner we did some beach tennis for some extra activity, exercise and enjoyment together with my kids πΎπ
