A nice sunny day so I went out for a walk in my neighbourhood, collecting cans for the deposit € when I see them on my walks to fund my splinterlands game, I found 7 today so that's just over €1 that's literally on the streets!
I took some pretty pictures on my way too..
Very Dutch! This mill had been built in 1863 and was used to manage the water levels, that's where the Dutch excel in of course. It has been restored to it's former glory in 2011.
Now it's there as a monument and for people to visit where you can take a look inside, and the Miller can tell you about the history and how it was operated.
This anchor belonged to a luxury steam liner bearing the same name as my village where it was part of the Holland - America line in 1882 but the ship sunk in 1886 in the North Sea.
It was recovered and an artist made a statue from it, where it's now presented along one of the dykes.
This is the old city wall and the last remaining side that is left, the rest has been destroyed in 1832 to be able to let the city grow bigger than the walls would allow it, out of view is a bastion with an old cannon still displayed on top, I'll take a picture someday when I pass it on my walks 😊
Only 7k, it's like actifit isn't counting as many movements as before, where normally actifit always had way more points than my genopets app, it's now the other way around, 7k for actifit, 9.3k for genopets...
