The morning broke bright and blue, a bold break from the bleak gray of yesterday. I walked the round of Mierendorff Island, where silence wasn’t empty, it was full of bird songs, breath and stillness. At several spots by the water, I paused for quiet, simple meditation, just me and the sun, which had already begun to warm like a familiar hand on the shoulder. The cherry blossoms, those delicate holdouts of spring, still clung to their branches, trembling slightly, as if they knew the next breeze would scatter them like soft secrets whispered into the wind. I brought back a photo of them for you, a last glimpse of pink persistence before it disappears.
Der Morgen war plötzlich wieder hell und blau, eine willkommene Abwechslung nach dem gestrigen tristen Grau. Ich umrundete die Mierendorffinsel, wo die Stille nicht leer, sondern erfüllt war von Vogelgesang, Atem und Achtsamkeit. An mehreren Stellen am Wasser hielt ich inne, atmete, meditierte, spürte die Sonne, die schon wie eine vertraute Hand auf der Schulter wärmte. Die letzten Kirschblüten hielten sich noch fest an den Zweigen, zitterten leicht, als wüssten sie, dass der nächste Windstoß sie in alle Richtungen zerstreuen würde. Ein Foto davon habe ich euch mitgebracht, ein letzter Blick auf das zarte Durchhalten des Frühlings.
