I didn’t have the time or energy for a morning walk today, since I was still a bit worn out from yesterday and also had the contractors in the house pretty early to work on the patio. On top of that, I’d decided to give the kitchen a makeover, and that was exhausting and time-consuming enough on its own. I spent the rest of the day relaxing in the sun and doing a few breathing and meditation exercises. Today’s photos are from another day and focus on technology out and about in the city. I’ve brought you two black-and-white pictures of things that, on the one hand, you’d rather not use, and on the other, you quite like to use, for your viewing pleasure. Namely, a few sad looking fire hydrants at a large shopping center, which hopefully will never be needed, and deserted escalators that many people like to use instead of climbing stairs.

Keine Zeit und Energie für einen Morningwalk heute, denn ich war noch etwas geschafft von gestern und hatte zudem recht früh die Handwerker im Haus wegen der Terrasse. Dazu hatte ich mir vorgenommen, die Küche umzukrempeln, und das war auch anstrengend und zeitraubend genug. Den Rest des Tages habe ich dann zum Ausruhen in der Sonne verbracht und dabei ein paar Atem- und Meditationsübungen gemacht. Fotos gibt’s heute von einem anderen Tag und zum Thema Technik unterwegs in der Stadt. Ich habe euch zwei schwarzweiß Bilder von Dingen, die man zum einen lieber nicht und zum anderen ganz gerne benutzt, zum bestaunen mitgebracht. Und zwar ein paar traurig wirkende Feuerwehr-Löschwasseranschlüsse eines großen Einkaufszentrums, die hoffentlich nie gebraucht werden, und verwaiste Rolltreppen, die viele gern benutzen, statt Treppen zu steigen.
