That morning, the sun wasn't yet too hot when we gathered in the school field for the Monday flag ceremony. Dressed in neat uniforms and orderly steps, all the students lined up according to their respective classes. The ceremony began on time, beginning with the raising of the Red and White flag by members of the Student Council (OSIS). They carried out their duties with full responsibility and solemnity, while
the national anthem "Indonesia Raya" played as the flag was raised.
The spirit of nationalism was palpable. Silence enveloped the entire field, with only the voice of the ceremony leader and his commands clearly audible. A row of teachers stood on the right side, accompanying and overseeing the ceremony with calm and dignified expressions.
As the ceremony leader delivered his address, we listened intently. The address touched on the importance of discipline, responsibility, and love for our country as the nation's future generation. Truly, this moment was not just a weekly routine, but also a means of fostering character and a sense of nationalism.
We closed the ceremony with a prayer, asking for continued enthusiasm for learning and good health throughout our days. The flag-raising ceremony was not merely a ceremonial activity, but a reminder of our identity as Indonesian students.
