The sports twitter went frenzy after United’s win against Nottm Forest today. He set ablaze the game after scoring a gem taking the ball from the center of the field and scoring a blinder right around the 8 minute mark. The Nottm Forest never looked like winning as United controlled the game.
This United side is showing its brilliance and at the center of that resurgence is Marcus Rashford. He has scored 10 goals in as many matches after the world cup. He is in superb goal scoring form and ETH would love that form to continue. Ten Hag would like to have other players with the same kind of form so that the team is playing Champions League next season instead of Europa league. VAR ruled out the Forest goal right before halftime. United took a lead right after that VAR decision.
United now lead the first leg of the game with 3-0 and may go to play against Newcastle United. In the other game, Newcastle scored 1 goal to beat 10 men Southampton. They will play again for the second leg and Newcastle will likely play United in the final.
Newcastle is also having a run of life this season. They are doing amazingly well in the league. Carabao cup would be a nice win to boost the team’s confidence
