The day started with a walk through the Thursday swap meet and I purchased a few things.
So I purchased 6 vintage c-clamps for $7 and the biggest clamp is all rusted up. The swivel and screw were locked up when I purchased it.
I worked on it a few minutes with a wire brush, a penetrating oil and a hand torch. The swivel is now moving freely, but the screw will need a little more work tomorrow.
I have repaired dozens of clamps, and the simple repair is so satisfying to me.
This afternoon, the youngest boy and I cycled to the nearby town. I did some max speed sprints throughout the ride.
It was around 50 degrees during the ride and I had a quality sweat when I sat down after parking the bike. I prefer to push my old bones to their limits.
The little guys hands felt frozen but he never complained, and he was stiff leg walking into the house.
I always feel like a million hbd after a quality ride with a kiddo.
Best wishes from
