Compost - or black gold for every gardener.
In the village where I'm living, throwing organic garbage in the garbage bins is forbidden. If you want to get rid of it, you need to buy some special bags from the city hall, announce for a special truck to come and pick them, and oh boy... this is expensive!
Years ago, I decided to build a sustainable garden, and therefore, my first step was to buy containers for making compost. I have 1200 litters of space and feel like it's never enough.
Yesterday, I decided to relocate my bins to a place that has more shadows, as it speeds de decomposition. Also, I decided to improve the setup with a solid base so that the moles (Talpa europaea) will not feast on the worms.
Today, I emptied the bins from the stuff of the last year, and it looks very much like this:
The garden feeds you, and you need to feed the garden. And this is the perfect food for it!
My new setup looks like this, and the season can now start!
