Decided to go shopping in the city centre and to use my new old age bus pass to get a free ride there and back. Was delighted to find we have a new bus shelter with nice seats (although the shelter still faces the wrong way and doesn't protect you from splashes as cars go through puddles) and a light. The timetable information isn't installed yet, but lovely to have a proper shelter, especially as it rains pretty much everyday.
Shopping was good, picked up a few bargains in the sales, one or two things I had been looking for, like a new small waterproof cross body bag (bonus: was vegan and made from recycled plastic bottles) and a new belt. Of course, a small haul of wool 😁.
There wasn't time for a cup of tea as I had to get the bus home for a delivery I was expecting.
Tried to make jam with rhubarb from next door but it's going to need a bit longer on a rolling boil before it will set. I'll have another go in the morning. It looks a pretty colour, though, and, with ginger and lemon added, smells divine.
