Today was about shopping.
Not for pleasure. For occasion.
My former boss celebrates 50 years of marriage.
We are invited.
A place with standards.
And I know he has them too.
My last suit is six years old.
Still there. But somehow not anymore me.
So we went into the city.
Looking. Trying. Comparing.
Nothing.
Or better: something.
But too expensive.
Strange how easy it used to be.
Walk in. Try on. Done.
Today everything felt a bit off.
Like the suit and I don’t fully agree anymore.
Different shape. Different feeling.
So we left without a decision.
Next step: outlet.
Back to where it worked before.
Still almost three weeks left.
Enough time.
And maybe enough distance to figure out what actually fits again.
Not just in size.
