Today we met at the lake.
Not just to walk.
To organize.
A celebration is coming.
20 years of a small community.
Not big. But stable.
Built over time.
And somehow still holding.
I’m not there as often anymore.
Life shifts.
But my children still use what once started with me.
And on paper I’m still part of it.
So I show up.
And I celebrate.
It was good to see familiar faces.
Some unchanged. Some a bit older.
But still recognizable.
Afterwards we walked.
The bigger round. Not just one lake.

Almost twelve kilometers.
Step by step the conversations faded into silence.
And then into rhythm.
Every now and then the sun appeared.
Briefly.
Enough to notice it.
Not every connection needs constant presence.
Some just remain.
Quietly.
Observed while moving. Left unfinished.
