Thoughts for the day
Today was a really hard day to get motivated. It was rainy and cold. Even the dog didn't want to go down the stairs to go outside.
Even harder to stay motivated when even the Actifit bot didn't bother to read my post from yesterday :(

and giant puddles everywhere
The only ones who enjoyed today were the birds
Which is why motivation is really important!
Having a dog that NEEDS to walk every morning so he doesn't leave a nasty surprise in the house is pretty good motivation.
Having a game that pays me some money every day is also pretty good motivation.
Trying to keep a streak going here and raise my Actifit Ranking is also pretty good motivation :)
The point is MOTIVATION is super important.
Now if things were always like my evening walk where the rain stopped and the sun came out then motivation wouldn't be very important....
But better to start any diet and exercise routine knowing that they will be some times that just suck ;)
The Reason for all the work
I want to live my life to the fullest. To that end I want to be strong in Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit
Goals
- To strengthen my body in endurance, strength, and flexibility
- To keep my mind sharp and engaged through reading, learning, and experimenting with new things
- To brighten my spirit by spending time doing things I enjoy. Spending time with friends or family. Finding new places. Doing new things. Finding new music. Watching new shows.
- Strengthen my soul by reading my bible, praying, and following a Christian lifestyle the best I can.

Diet Journal
Since my goal is to lose weight that means I have to DIET and exercise. Today I cheated because my best friend came to visit and I baked a cake for them. Of course, I couldn't not have some. However, mostly I stayed on my diet.
In upcoming reports I'm going to try and post a daily food journal along with food prices and calories to keep tabs on cost and if I'm actually watching my diet.

Set GOALS
Find MOTIVATION
Make sure to PREPARE and PLAN
Make sure to RE-EVALUATE as time progresses
Know there will be SETBACKS
So prepare to RESTART and TRY AGAIN
Definitions
I'll be adding my recipes for food, calorie counts, dog walk distances and stuff like that down here. However, that's for the future. For today it's just a place holder :D
