Daily Thoughts
Well, another wet, cold day.
Great for the birds but not so great for walking. However, I refuse to give up. I'll keep getting in those steps, keep working towards my goal and keep posting about it every day!
On the plus side, over 30,000 steps so that's a nice bonus :) Over 24km according to my smartwatch.
On the down side my weight was up again by 0.4kg which just shows that exercise alone won't drop the weight. Diet plays a huge part...but I'm not yet ready to add a calorie counter to my daily actifit report. I'll get there but not yet :)
I also decided that I would add balance to my daily routine. It seems that as people get older their balance decreases and that leaves them more at risk of falls and broken bones. A simple balance exercise is just standing on one foot. Easy enough. So, it goes on my daily to do list.
I've also found that listening to music while I walk makes it go faster. However, it also makes me less aware of my surroundings which isn't great when I'm already distracted from coin hunting. Music goes on, but I'll make attempts to be more aware of what's going on around me.
Overall I did my entire checklist today. Dog walks, coin hunt walks, stretches, push ups, situps, balance and so on. I also got paid from coin hunt, horray! But I'm still on modified push ups...haven't graduated to big boy pushups. Still 100 pushups today was a nice milestone even if they are the modified variety :)
