My dog doesn't always look like he wants to go for his morning or evening walk. But he always gets into it while we are on the way.
Nothing like a snowpile to get him in the mood for digging around and jumping around also.
Now as usual I'll tell you that I walked the dog in the morning and evening. However, today I'll show you the actual map and route that I take.
Not quite 2.5km and it takes over half an hour. It's fine for the dogs walk but really not fast enough for me to get any decent exercise from the walk.
So, after I take the dog for a walk I take a much longer walk. Sometimes once a day and sometimes twice a day. Why would I bother with twice daily walks? Well, Cubieverse resets every day in the mid afternoon. So, if I want to grind in the game it means two walks. Which is what I did today. That walk is faster and longer but again today I'll show you the route.
Now in Cubieverse you get rewards for walking but 4.5km? Not enough to get maximum rewards.
How about 7km?
Nope. Need about 10km walking to get the maximum rewards. Now I remember saying that in Actifit you could just wave your arm around and get steps in Actifit. While that IS true it kind of defeats the purpose. However, in Cubieverse it tracks your GPS signal and movement. If your in a car no steps. If you swing your arm and don't move no steps. Every step I get is an actual step :)
Today that means almost 25K steps and I also went to the gym for 30minutes for upper body workout. I'm going to try to get in the habit of going to the gym after my morning walk....Will see how that works out :)
Anyways, yesterday I was talking about Cubieverse and how you can actually build things in the game which is based on a copy of the real world - a metaverse.
I wish so much that Actifit could join Cubieverse. Real world meets both Cryptoverse with Actifit and Metaverse with Cubieverse. Ohh....that would be so cool.
But that's a discussion for another day.
I wanted to give an example of what happens in game.
First a picture from the real world.
Not a particularly nice looking photo but what can I say. Usually I try to post nice looking photo's but the real world means things can be a lot more drab when I'm not going for the best angle :)
This is the exact same location in the Cubieverse game taken yesterday. Notice the crane? I use a blueprint and workers in game to build a structure. Other people can also add workers to speed things up (some structures take over a month to build!). Remember I said its better multiplayer :) Not required but can be a long wait for things to build by yourself.
Anyways....
Here is the same place in game this morning.
The crane is gone and now there is a new vault which I can visit to mine for cubiecoins to convert to cash :)
.....Now if only I could link that to Hive that would be so cool. Instead I'll have to build a CET (crypto exchange terminal) so I can withdraw Cubiecoins to either ETH or BTC. As a premium building it will take a looonng time to build. But I've been playing for a couple years so I have time.
Now.
I've been tagging and
because I think it would be really cool if they would be able to start a Nigerian contingency in the game. Whether is would be financially worthwhile for them was something I was hoping to talk to them about.
However, ran into a snag yesterday.
tried to download the game and found it was unavailable from the Playstore.
I know that Cubieverse had a few places where it wasn't available but I didn't see Nigeria (or Venezuela or Pakistan) on the list. Which made me wonder what happened.
I sent a message off to the helpdesk but being a weekend haven't heard anything back yet.
My first thoughts?
It is possible that Cubieverse is banned in Nigeria . That would be sad especially since the developers are looking to develop worldwide and have said they will actively work with any country that develops a core number of people playing.
It is possible that Nigeria banned the game. I have read that crypto is not actually legal in Nigeria even though we have many Hive users from there. Something about protecting the digital Naira. Can't say I know for certain.
It is possible that its just that
phone didn't meet the minimum specs to play the game.
I hope I hear back sooner than later. If its just the country that doesn't allow it maybe it could be sideloaded as an apk.
If it is a phone issue then maybe a newer model phone could solve the issue.
Until I find out.... My apologies to
and
for taking up your time.
However, I do appreciate anyone who has read down this far.
Tomorrow more images : real world vs metaverse.
Unless something better comes up :)
Thanks for reading
Until tomorrow
