So today I had to take my parents to the airport for their return trip to Canada. They are capable people but they are terrible with paperwork and beurocracy plus a little hard of hearing.
So at first I took them to NAIA terminal 1 which had always been the terminal for international departures. Only to find out they were in terminal 3. Grr. 40 minutes wasted there but we still had lots of time because I'm really anal about leaving early.
The main image is of me at the terminal with my father hiding in the background. It took forever but they finally got through everything and I headed back to the hotel. I took the "secret passage" out of the terminal. Now it's not really secret but the signage is bad and most don't know about it.
Don't believe me? I took photos to show how many people were on it. Compare to the background of the first image.
That's the signage... On the 4th floor.. when everything inside shoves you to the main doors on the first floor.
That's me and...
... Just me
Hallway number one
Hallway number two.
It's pretty empty there for sure.
Anyways after that I had time to kill. My friend from Canada were busy playing golf so I thought I would check out a massage place. Well a spa with massage. I didn't last long there.
On paper it looked good. Hot and cold pool, warm pool, sauna (hot and dry), lounge, sleeping lounge, theater, and buffet plus more.
The buffet was weak. Didn't find anything I liked at all. The drink selection was orange drink, Blue lemonade and iced tea. Anything decent you had to pay big dollars in the bar area
The sleeping lounge was quiet.
The theater was... Odd...
Yes there were movies on rotation.
But how do you watch a movie on this chair?
Once I saw mandatory tip for the massage?
I just left. Sure it would be a nice place to stay in I had a lot of time to kill but today? Nope nope nope.
A went home for a nap and a bit later went to the mall with friends. I had to show them the brutal traffic
But we got to Robinson's galleria Ortigas which is a nice mall...
With a major floor dedicated to make many food stands.
We did dinner. We talked. Then it was the to come back to the hotel.
To my surprise that was good for over 10k steps.
Side note?
The most interesting thing about the spa was the sleeping cubicles.
I always wanted to see the sleeping pods
And now I have. Hooray!
