I'm home
Simple words but after two and a half months away they take on new meaning.
Honestly it feels like I never left. That's a good thing. I see my favorite couch where I can sit and watch movies with my wife.
The same old shower which feels nicer now because I appreciate how good the hot water and water pressure are.
The dog who comes up and says hi
... And the dog who is annoying when he wants to bark at everyone who knocks at the front door.
It is good to be home with the possible exception of the paperwork :(
There is a lot of paperwork to get caught up on. There are things I need to pay which got delayed because of vacation timing. It will get done but tomorrow.... I'm pretty tired tonight.
As for steps today? That's interesting. With such a long time in transit Actifit doesn't know what time it is and my "day" is actually very few hours today.
Time zones complicate things. All my recent steps were walking around the airport and they were very big airports. Incheon and Vancouver.... Large international airports with a lot of steps between gate and exit :)
Then again the moving walkways make long distances much easier and there is something fun about moving at running speed while just walking along the walking path.
But I don't have much more to add. Home is nice. Walking is nice. Vacationing is nice. But I'm looking forward to food I know, life in my own space, and even being stretched thing by demands of my wife and kids.
Let's see if I can do all that and still be able to lose some weight by getting into a better life routine.
Time will tell :)
