After being the the tropics for over two months coming back to 6C temperature feels really cold. Add in wind and rain and it's really unpleasant.
Still being with friends and family is great.
Now my dog had a haircut just a few days before I left on vacation and look at him now. I say he looks like a homeless dog. The tenant downstairs told me that he looks disheveled... Kind of like he had a big party last night and has a hangover now.
Homeless or not I envied him his thick fur coat as it was chilly with the wind for sure
Anyways cold or not it was bright and sunny for part of the day and I jumped at the opportunity to go for a walk with my son. It wasn't the longest walk but it was nice to just check in with him and see how things were going.
Still ended up with over 9k steps so it wasn't a tiny walk I suppose.
I also went by my work for a little bit to let them know I returned to the country. Seems like there was a software update got the computers, a chance for the computer system and a change on how we receive prescriptions and a change on our phone system..
Even the parking lot has a new building going up which was only a joke in the ground when I left.
So running around getting caught up was a big party of my daily activity.
Paperwork was the other half. Paper piles when I'm away.
Side benefit. While I was doing paperwork my son found a buyer for an old laptop I have. Powerful gaming laptop (in its time) but dreadful battery life, heavy and runs hot. Glad it will get a new home and I'll get some money in my pocket.
Overall.
Productive day.
Just cold...
...... And Jet lag sucks
