Today started off with a nice breakfast at the hotel then it was time to start walking to the castle of Santa Barbara. Now some people would take Taxi but I was cheap and wanted the steps.
It started off at the walkway by the beach (that's where the big old tree was in the top picture.
Then turn off the ocean pathway and head up a beautiful pedestrian walkway. On each side were cool streets to explore like this one.
And I found a crypto place so had to picture it as well.
As we continued we found the central market which had a lot of meats and cheeses.
Of course our actual destination is the castle. You can see it from here along the road.
Then it was time to walk up up up
And yes it was a long way
Eventually we reached the top and could see the whole city.
Now I could do a whole bunch of castle pictures but I'll save that for a different post tomorrow.
Let's just say that it was a lot of steps up and down and a whole bunch of steps at the end because I'm too cheap to pay for an elevator.
After the steps? Lunchtime but had to walk to the restaurant.
My wife heard about Spanish paella so we needed to go to a place that served it.
Seafood is the most iconic but rabbit was very iconic also so we had the rabbit and mushroom on rice.
Very tasty not terrible price at $15eur each.
After that?
Very tired but we went to look for a cake and .
... Things close early.
Had to return without sweets but we went back after 4pm and got some yummy stuff for our
Almost 19000 steps.
That was my day...
... And castle photos will get their own post tomorrow :)
