Midweek run with my little group; this week we did some short, speed intervals to get the heart rate up, some conditioning work in the form of squats & elevated planks, and then an easy jog to finish. Apparently when I stop moving around, the auto pause feature in iSmoothRun kicks in, and stops heart rate recording. Good to know that for future reference.
When I got home, I put on dinner and while it was cooking I managed a little rowing machine, kettlebell, & gymnastic ring circuit:
500m easy row
20kb swings
10 ring pushups
10 ring incline rows
500m row (power)
20 kb swings
Then 5 each side of a kb complex; single arm swing, snatch, squat-to-press.
This short session took less than 10 minutes, and was a nice little ‘taste of things to come’ as I’ll be doing more training with power, and at higher levels of intensity over the coming weeks and months.
