It is another beautiful day and it's with great pleasure that I'm welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're all doing well and having a great day.
I was very busy yesterday which is on Sunday getting sawdust from sawmill to prepare my birds bedding before their arrival today. You can check here to know more.
I woke up early today and went to the bus stop where I am to meet the man bringing my birds. Though the man has already told that he will call me when he is coming but my friend told me to leave home earlier because the man is always in haste when delivering the birds and that's the reason why I have to left home earlier.
I arrived at the bus stop around 6:40am, at first I was standing near the main road waiting for the man but when I don't see him, I find a place to sit and waiting for him. While waiting, I took some pictures right from where I sat down and some minutes later the man called me to confirm if I have arrived at the place which I have and it doesn't take long before the man also arrived and deliver the birds to me.
I order for a bike to take me back home because the place where I went to collect my birds is a little far from my place. While going on the bike, we stopped on the way for some minutes to inflate the bike tyre and I took a picture there as well and I arrived home after some minutes.
Immediately I got home, I have to prepare the glucose and dip my day old chicks into the water one after the other to make sure all the birds got a sip of the glucose water. The essence of giving glucose to the birds is to ease the they might have gone through when transporting them because the hatchery factory is very far away and it will give them more energy and they look so much active upon their arrival to my pen.
Since they are in brooding stage, providing them with heat is very important and I make use of charcoal and charcoal pot to bring warmth to the pen. I am very happy that my birds have finally arrived and this means that I still have a lot of work to do to make sure that they stay healthy and active as well. I will be sharing with you their development as time goes.
