The twins were named Kyrie and Brielle Jackson. In 1995, they were born in Massachusetts, USA, about 12 weeks before their due date. Both were placed in an incubator because they were premature. Of the two sisters, Kyrie was in relatively good condition and was slowly recovering. But the younger sister, Brielle, was in very critical condition. She was having trouble breathing, her heartbeat was irregular, and her body was turning blue due to lack of oxygen. Doctors had almost given up hope of her survival.
At that critical moment, “a nurse” went beyond the conventional rules and made a groundbreaking proposal. She said, “What if we put two sisters in the same incubator together?” What happened next was, in a word, incredible! As soon as the weak Brielle was laid down next to her strong sister, Kyrie, Kyrie hugged her sister with her little hand, as if comforting her. And the amazing thing is, after this hug, Brielle's breathing began to stabilize, her heart rate returned to normal, and her body temperature also increased. Gradually, she fully recovered! This incident became known around the world as "The Rescuing Hug".
