Yesterday my friends and I went to Suwon, which was a little bit far from where we were staying. We walked around the area, and it’s not just a small walk but lots of walking. You wouldn’t believe what we saw there - it was the moon! 🌕
Prior to that, we were in a nice, quiet and a mix of modern and traditional village an hour from Suwon.
Sunday out with friends was nice, and it’s been a while since I’ve traveled with them, and some it’s our first time together.
In the afternoon we were traveling to Suwon in a bus which made me almost sick. I guess it was how fast the drive was, and some people couldn’t even get off properly because the driver’s rushing. Because of that, you’ll probably laugh at us hurriedly getting off, making sure we could get off at the right spot. It was an adventure - like a roller coaster ride.
Exploring Suwon by foot was nice. I always like walking around and exploring unknown towns. But we probably walked too much that my feet started to hurt on the way to where we would be having dinner. Good thing we were not standing during dinner so my feet could get a rest. I guess it hurt more because it felt tight. Wrong socks maybe.
After dinner we were walking by the river and from a distance saw something unexpected. I didn’t know the moon landed on earth!
It was so big! Okay maybe not as big as I thought it would be but it was bigger than me at least. It was also so bright, like literally the only one shining in that area. It’s being so moon. 😅
Seeing a heavenly body this close was just so surreal. Well, of course it’s not real….. 🥲
Upon closer examination, it was a flat moon. Not so round as I thought it would be.
I thought this was remnant of an event. There was a moon festival recently (or maybe last month?) but I was wrong. It seems like it’s been here for a while and will continue to be here. It’s like a decoration of a restaurant nearby.
After being there filming a video and enjoying the moon, we started to head back. It was a nice night to see the moon.
Last week was the comet sightseeing event and this week was the moon landing event. I wonder what next week will be.
