Today is Tanabata. I would have liked to relax and make Tanabata decorations and hang them on the bamboo branches, but today is the day of my ophthalmology visit.
I had an appointment for a visual field test at 9:30 a.m., so I went to the ophthalmologist's office early in the morning on a speeding bus under the strong sunlight.
I arrived 30 minutes early and waited in the waiting room. Today's ophthalmology department was crowded for the first time in a long time. In the waiting room, in the examination room, and even in the restroom.
But I was determined to get through the intraocular pressure test, visual acuity test, and visual field test. The visual field test took about 30 minutes, which was tough. I was relieved when the doctor told me after the examination that there was nothing particularly wrong with my eye.
I was then given a prescription for eye drops and left.
