Nothing spectacular today, just a nice steady easy rambling day. Skipped the gym for a needed break from the hard schedule recently. And lack of sleep.
Ran across this little itty bitty wee thing of a cherry. 🍒 Have you ever seen a smaller piece of fruit in your life?
I found it on my regular morning cherry tree path today. There are quite a few types of cherry trees here, the Japanese are fond of their Sakura, but almost all I’ve seen are sans actual cherries. Fruitless. So it was a little treasure to find.
It’s an Edo period hybrid of a type from Somei-mura, Tokyo, and another from Yoshino-yama, in Nara. Hence the name, drum roll please, Somei Yoshino cherry. 🍒
