What feels like the longest year in a while seems to be showing us some relief with the first signs of spring.
Another in my series of hot rods in a small town, even the 4-door Porsches as lining up to get ready for spring.
It was an early news delivery day again and, this time, no snow outside as I start my day. Still projected minus double digits overnight this weekend though.
Out on the highway, I snapped Mater from his good side and he seems happy to be done with the snow too.
The fields are still getting blasted with frost overnight but almost seem to be hinting at green.
Clear skies clouded up and threatened to piss down some cold spring rain if I didn’t get on my horse and finish up.
Feels a little busier than the last couple months with theatre festival season almost ready to show their opening shows.
Looking up at city hall, the trees are still bare but should soon be showing buds of new growth. Maybe a long winter and spring will make for a long summer.
On the other side of city hall, looking north, the snow is indeed gone but the flowerbeds are a while from exploding with colour.
A good way to pretend it is already summer is to enjoy a round of golf! Indoors of course as the courses are still closed. Beer goes just as well with indoor golf.
Wouldn’t be a proper 10k day without some time in the park for the little guy. Pretty swampy still.
The sun has gone down on my weekly big step day. Sunsets are later and before too long, will hopefully happen past 8:00 at night. I am right on the edge of the top 250 steppers of all time so hopefully I will break in before summer hits.
Thanks for walking with me and sampling the first sips of spring.
