Spring is something special in places like this with long winters. Those April showers give way to May flowers and construction!
So many places around this small town are lined with cones, signs, equipment and plenty of guys leaning on shovels.
You would think the work would have started a bit earlier so it was a distant memory by the time visitors started to arrive to visit the theatre.
I must admit I would rather be working in the moderate spring temps compared to winter or blazing summer.
Still, having a Main Street blocked right off right around the entrance to the downtown theatre which is welcome out of town visitors to previews and debut performances doesn’t seem optimal. They do seem to be working quickly though.
The good news is some of the work is also going into building the expanded patios in front of a dozen restaurants.
Back to the regular Thursday adventure. A little cloudy to start the day and a high of only 9 Celsius (less than 50 freedom units)
News delivery was interrupted by a coffee networking meeting with a bunch of other downtown business owners.
I made a check on Mater and he seems much happier in his green field than he did wrapped in snow.
The early blooms are poking out to celebrate the spring. Tulips and daffodils among the nice big ones.
From the steps of city hall looking north, the sky looks warmer than it did a month ago and the flowers are starting to pop in the beds. Streets are just a little busier but nothing like they will be in another month or 2.
All in all, a nice spring day to spend out doors stepping over 10k brisk steps toward summer and slowly toward the top 200 users of all time!
Thanks for stepping with me.
