Yesterday turned out to be the perfect day for our first outdoor round of golf of the season! It was a long winter and we kept busy golfing indoors at the simulator once a week but nothing compares to real golf.
Science Hill golf course has become a favourite as of late because it is slightly off the beaten path and is fantastic for the price. The pro shop may look like a barn but this is no cow field!
The course was in fantastic shape despite how early in the season it is. Sand traps were more like soggy pits but the fairways, rough and greens were in top form. Not that I saw the fairway too much. ;)
The trees were not in full leafy bloom yet but that didn’t stop them from getting in the way. Cool blue skies and warm sun presided over us the whole round.
How did I score? I hoped you would never ask! I left about 6 of these heart breakers which were very close putts but they still will cost you an extra stroke for the tap in. I broke 100 in the first game of the year so I will take it!
On the country drive back home, we did see some farmers fields but no golfers on them.
All in all, a great day for the first round of the year and over 8k steps toward the golden ring of the top 200!
FORE!
