Here are my week two hundred and fifty eight recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday
Drum roll please.....
The Stunning - Brewing Up a Storm
As I was saying recently, I'm going to take some inspiration from the Irish Public and a recent poll.
I don't listen to the radio all that much these days. I am more inclined to be listening to a Podcast or an album on Spotify, but when I do tune in my wireless, it tends to be Today FM that I listen to and they did a Top 100 Irish songs of all time poll in the run up to St. Patrick's day.
I am going to give ye the top Thirty three over the next eleven weeks from this count down. Why? Well, I'm Irish and non Irish people are always asking me to say Thirty Three and third which sounds more like Thurty Tree and Turd with our accent!
We are edging ever closer to Ireland's official favourite song!!
So here we are at number 9 and this is a floor filler, a belter, a tuuuuuuuuuuuuune!!!
Aslan - Crazy World
I suspect the majority won't know this song, as it's from a lesser known Irish band Aslan. They took their name from Aslan the lion in The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. The band chose the name because they liked the strength and symbolism associated with the character, who represents courage, wisdom, and leadership in the novels. The name helped give the group a distinctive identity when they formed in Dublin during the early 1980s.
Let me know what ya think of this song.
The Wolfe Tones - Grace
We will finish out with this song from iconic Irish band The Wolfe Tones.
Grace is one of the most well-known Irish ballads and after I explain the song to you, you'll see why. The song tells the tragic love story of Joseph Plunkett, one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising which led to Ireland's freedom, and his wife Grace Gifford. Written by Frank and Seán O’Meara, the lyrics describe the couple’s final moments together before Plunkett was executed by British forces in Kilmainham Gaol (jail). The leaders of the rising were lined up and shot dead. Its emotional storytelling and gentle melody have made it a powerful tribute to love, sacrifice, and Irish history.
Over the years, “Grace” has become a staple of Irish folk music and is often sung at concerts, commemorations, and gatherings throughout Ireland and among Irish communities abroad. Although many artists have recorded versions of the song, The Wolfe Tones’ performance helped introduce it to a wider audience and cemented its place in modern Irish musical culture. The ballad remains especially popular around anniversaries of the Easter Rising and continues to resonate with listeners because of its combination of romance, sorrow, and national identity.
Three Tune Tuesday
That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?
It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.
This is my 259th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.
It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!
Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.
We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Over the years, I have listened to fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interacted with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.
I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

Due to a very busy life on my side, the winner posts often come after a delay and may come over 4 to 8 consecutive days. That's just how I do it, so please be patient while awaiting HBI and understand that only my 1HBI is guaranteed. The others are dependant on our lovely sponsors seeing these posts and sending on the HBI. That means some weeks winners may get 3 shares and other weeks they may get more.
Thanks a million to our sponsors above once again and any winners please bear in mind that some people only pop on here every few months, so be patient while waiting for the HBI.
