Today I am extremely nervous to bring you a new side of me. This is the first time I dare to upload a cover in MY LIFE. I'm extremely nervous to show this side of me, because I know I'm not the best at singing and I still have a long way to go to improve my techniques, my presence and all that. I know I look nervous, but being in front of a camera and singing is not something easy, but it was definitely worth it and I will dare to share it with someone else, maybe some of you who see me, have a good advice for me.

Hoy estoy sumamente nervioso al traerles una nueva faceta de mí. Es la primera vez que me atrevo a subir un cover EN MI VIDA. Estoy sumamente nervioso de mostrar esta parte de mí, porque sé que no soy el mejor cantando y que aún tengo todo un camino por delante para mejorar mis técnicas, mi presencia y todo eso. Sé que me veo nervioso, pero estra delante de una cámara y cantar no es algo fácil, pero en definitiva valió la pena y me atreveré a compartirlo con alguien más, quizás alguno de ustedes que me ven, tenga un buen consejo para mí.
The cover I bring you is of a song I have always adored, Born To Die, by Lana Del Rey. The song is the second official single from the singer's debut album, also called Born To Die, released in December 2011. It belongs to the Trip-Hop and Sadcore genre, an alternative song that would largely define Lana's career, becoming a major hit of her career and one of her most easily recognizable songs.
The song, in the words of the performer, is a homage to true love and living the wild life. A sad-toned interpretation of romance and a somewhat unstable but quite passionate relationship. Throughout this era, Lana's image was quite majestic as well as wild, an interesting mix with an incredible magnetism.
I have always been a fan of singing Lana's songs, there is something about her, in her smooth rhythms, in the poetic of her lyrics that attracts me. This is not the first Lana song that someone else has heard me sing, because at home we usually have meetings to do covers, and I have already interpreted West Coast and, the one I share with you today, Born To Die.
I leave this small space as a note, or, more than a note, a dedication. I would like to dedicate this cover to my friend Ximary, who was in charge of the musical accompaniment and to whom I owe the courage to dare to record this cover and publish it. I love you very much, thank you for helping me with this, which will remain as our only cover together.

El cover que les traigo es de una canción que siempre he adorado, Born To Die, por Lana Del Rey. La canción es el segundo sencillo oficial del álbum debut de la cantante, también llamado Born To Die, lanzado en diciembre del 2011. Pertenece al género Trip-Hop y Sadcore, una canción alternativa que definiría en gran parte la carrera de Lana, convirtiéndose en un gran éxito de su carrera y una de sus canciones más fáciles de reconocer.
La canción, en palabras de la intérprete, se trata de un homenaje al amor verdadero y a vivir la vida salvaje. Una interpretación con tonos tristes del romanticismo y de una relación un tanto inestable pero bastante apasionada. Durante toda esta era, la imagen de Lana era bastante majestuosa al mismo tiempo que salvaje, una mezcla interesante con un magnetismo increíble.
Siempre he sido fan de cantar las canciones de Lana, hay algo en ella, en sus ritmos suaves, en lo poético de sus letras que me atrae. No es la primera canción de Lana que alguien más me escucha cantar, porque en casa solemos hacer reuniones para hacer covers, y ya yo he interpretado West Coast y, la que les comparto hoy, Born To Die.
Dejo este pequeño espacio como una nota, o, más que una nota, una dedicatoria. Me gustaría dedicarle este cover a mi amiga Ximary, quien fue la encargada de hacer el acompañamiento musical y a quien le debo el valor de atreverme a grabar este cover y publicarlo.
