Blessed week to all of you precious readers.
Today I come with a somewhat different post, but one that got me very excited since the idea popped into my head. It just so happens that this month, that is, October, excites me too much because it is Halloween month, my favorite celebration of the year. I've been waiting all year for my favorite month of the year to arrive and be able to share a lot of Halloween-esque content on my blog. The first thing I've decided to share with you is a playlist I prepared to listen to during this month. It's the season of witches!
In the last few days I've been listening quite a bit to a Halloween themed album, and it's an album that is just too gorgeous in so many ways, since I discovered it I loved it and became a super fan of the singer, it's TURN OFF THE LIGHT by Kim Petras. So, listening to the album, I thought, "How cool would it be to have a whole playlist with music for the dance floor that at the same time feels scary for Halloween".
I try to make the playlist for everyone's tastes, not only mine, because this year, together with my siblings, we will be hosting the most awaited party of the year for La Combi Versace, the Iconic Halloween Party (Which I hope to tell you about soon enough). So this playlist is quite varied, I even asked for recommendations on my social networks and so I have been adding songs.
I won't put all the songs on the playlist because it's pretty extensive. What I will do is tell you about some of the songs that, for me, are the most representative of this little compilation of terrifying and enjoyable music that I'm making.
How could I start this list without this icon not being first? Bad Romance was the introduction to the masterpiece The Fame Monster, where Lady Gaga became a pop star and the great musical promise. Bad Romance gives us the whole Halloween vibe and we can't blame her - extremely big eyes, lizard skin and a sphinx cat? Obviously this is a great song for Halloween parties.
Plus, who hasn't heard the iconic "rah, rah, rah-a-ah, roma, roma-ma, Gaga oh la la"? It's a hit and is easily recognizable, the video for which is considered the best music video of this century by the important Billboard magazine. The perfect introduction to this terrifying party.
Taken from GeniusThe second song I'll talk about is the song that led me to make the decision to make a party playlist for halloween, the song that gave the name to German singer Kim Petras' Halloween album. It's a pretty Dark-Pop song. It talks about feeling safe with yourself in the dark, quite related to the LGBT+ community.
At the time of the bridge, the Halloween saint herself, "Elvira, the mistress of the Dark" talks about how in the dark we can be ourselves without fear, with a beautiful and terrifying voice, paying tribute to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". It's a bop song and a great way to get the party started.
Taken from IMDbThe perfect song for a villain. "They say I did something bad, then why it feels so good?" Taylor tells us in a chorus that's completely addictive and has spooky vibes. During Taylor Swift's reputation era, the use of terrifying images and snakes everywhere was indispensable (since I became obsessed with snakes), it's inevitable that I don't think of Halloween when I see the whole concept that was handled during this time, especially with "I Did Something Bad" and "Look What You Made Me Do".
The live performances of this song were glorious, especially on the Reputation Stadium Tour, the promotional tour for that project. They were great, with great choreography and Karyn, the majestic giant snake that accompanied her to the American Music Awards.
Can it be a good Halloween party without "Thriller" by the King of Pop? The definitive answer is NO!. It is one of the most representative songs of this date, and it was inevitable for me to include it in my playlist. Although it may not seem like it to the younger generations, this song is a milestone in pop music and one of the 4 immaculate pop anthems (Vogue, Toxic, Bad Romance and Thriller).
And even for me, this song is a must-listen at a Halloween party. What's more, everyone should learn this choreography and have an epic moment in the style of "As if I were 30". A Halloween anthem that deserved to be in this playlist full of musical icons.
Taken from IMDbWe slow the party down a bit, but without departing even a little from the terrifying theme of these dates. Lana Del Rey serves up a pretty scary song with laid-back Halloween-esque vibes, especially with an exquisite chorus telling us that it's already the season of witches.
I have not been able to get this song out of my mind and my playlist, it feels magical, it's like listening to the voice of a beautiful and mysterious fairy in the middle of an enchanted forest in the light of the full moon. I super recommend it, especially in these times, when you have to be careful of witches, muahahahaha.
Taken from IMDbNow, a bit more modern, Ava Max serves us an exquisite pop song, with lots of Lady Gaga vibes and a delightful originality that brings us a fresher pop. The song presents us with an insane girl, a woman completely out of her head, ready to do evil and crazy things, she is beautiful, hot but psychopathic.
With this song, which starts with a small and delicious feminine scream, Ava Max won her fans and the attention of many who see her as a pop promise, with a creepy image and quite theatrical videos. You must listen to it, quite catchy.
Taken from IMDbWith a chorus of eerie voices, the song of the hour begins. Unholy, this is a song with allegories of sin and doing dirty things. It tells of a man who is cheating on his wife by going to a "body store". Kim Petras is a collaborator on this song, which offers us a second verse that is DIVINE.
The song is quite sensual, with a cool and fresh beat, already viral on TikTok, whose release is quite recent. Sam Smith is finally getting back the recognition he deserves as an artist. The video for this song is a genius, featuring the appearance of the beautiful Drag Queens: Violet Chachki and Gottmik. You must listen to this song and enjoy it, especially since it will be at every Halloween party.
Representing Venezuela in the playlist comes "Rakata", by Venezuelan singer and producer Arca. An alternative song quite influenced by reggaeton, but still quite strange. I include it because, in general, Arca's songs can be creepy, however, if they get you hooked, they become addictive.
I could spend hours talking about Arca, but for now, I'm just going to recommend this tasty song perfect for your Halloween parties, because it's tasty reggaeton but with some great spooky vibes.
Taken from IMDbOne of the spookiest songs in Gaga's entire discography, featuring the iconic appearance of one of pop culture's greatest urban legends, Bloody Mary. The song also has references to Mary Magdalene and her affair with Jesus Christ. This, like many of her other songs on "Born This Way", has a lot of biblical references.
This song is a bop, with a heavy but somewhat slow rhythm. With remarkable parts such as the cry of "Love" every time a chorus ends. It makes use of several languages, such as English, French and Spanish. A perfect work of art to listen to on repeat during this season. Immensely recommended.

The first K-Pop song on the playlist, it's addictive as well as spooky, especially the music video, which feels with extremely weird vibes. Overall, this K-Pop band that my brother showed me, manages a pretty creepy concept in many of their songs.
The beat is super danceable, but there's something about the production of this song that feels terribly creepy. Perfect for a Halloween party, especially if you're a fan of this genre.
A bop I discovered just today, this is a mega spooky song, but with a beat that won't leave your head. Performed by one of my favorite Drag Queen, KATYA, with the collaboration of her best friend Trixie Mattel. The song uses mainly Russian as the language, as the person Katya is Russian. It also makes mention of many other highly recognized queens, such as Sasha Velour, Roxxxy Andrews, Ivye Oddly and Alaska Thunderfuck herself.
All party bop, but with a very macabre concept. You can listen to the whole EP, titled "Vampire Fitness", I recommend it if you are a fan of Drag Queens and horror.
Taken from GeniusWith a horror beat, we come almost to the end of this playlist. It sounds like "Nightmare on Hell Street" mixed with children's games. Couldn't miss the iconic and terrifying Melanie Martinez, who with a strange aura always makes you feel chills. This song is no exception, it is one of my favorites from her album "Cry Baby", especially when she gets to the bridge, where she uses the typical "eenie meenie miny mo" and follows the song in a spooky way.
The song makes references to sexual abuse in a very twisted way, but it is a total work of art and deserved to make this list.
We come to the end of this playlist with this iconic song. From the Backstreet Boys themselves, with a video that has gone down in pop music history as a great icon, with references to the King of Pop's choreography. The song is great, the video is pure genius. There's not much to add about a song that is practically indispensable for any Halloween party.
There are a lot of songs missing from this playlist, which also keeps growing thanks to recommendations from friends. It's great to have a whole playlist dedicated to my favorite holiday, and it's even cooler to know that I can share it here with you and tell you some of the best songs on the list. Plus, you can discover new songs that you might end up liking.

El día de hoy vengo con un post un tanto distinto, pero que me emocionó mucho desde que la idea surgió en mi cabeza. Sucede que este mes, es decir, octubre, me emociona demasiado porque es el mes de Halloween, mi celebración favorita del año. He estado esperando todo el año para que llegara mi mes favorito del año y poder compartir por mi blog bastante contenido Halloween-esco. Lo primero que he decidido compartirles es una playlist que preparé para escuchar durante todo este mes. ¡Es temporada de brujas!
En los últimos días he escuchado bastante un álbum cuya temática es Halloween, y es un álbum demasiado magnífico en tantos sentidos, desde que lo descubrí lo amé y me hice super fan de la cantante, se trata de TURN OFF THE LIGHT por Kim Petras. Entonces, escuchando el álbum, pensé: “Que genial sería tener toda una playlist con músicas para la pista de baile que, al mismo tiempo, se sientan terroríficas para Halloween”.
Trato de hacer la playlist para los gustos de todos, no solo míos, porque este año, junto a mis hermanos, seremos anfitriones en la fiesta más esperada del año por La Combi Versace, la Iconic Halloween Party (De la cual espero poder hablarles bastante pronto). Así que esta playlist está bastante variada, incluso pedí recomendaciones en mis redes sociales y así he ido agregando canciones.
No pondré todas las canciones de la playlist porque está bastante extensa. Lo que sí haré será hablarles de algunas de las canciones que, para mí, son las más representativas de este pequeño recopilatorio de música terrorífica y disfrutable que estoy haciendo.
¿Cómo podría empezar esta lista sin que este ícono no fuera la primera? Bad Romance fue la introducción a la obra maestra The Fame Monster, donde Lady Gaga se convirtió en una estrella pop y la gran promesa musical. Bad Romance nos da toda la vibra de Halloween y no la podemos culpar. ¿Ojos extremadamente grandes, piel de lagarto y un gato esfinge? Obviamente se trata de una excelente canción para fiestas de Halloween.
Además, ¿quién no ha escuchado el icónico “rah, rah, rah-a-ah, roma, roma-ma, Gaga oh la la”? Es todo un éxito y es fácil de reconocer, cuyo vídeo es considerado el mejor vídeo musical de este siglo por la importante revista Billboard. La perfecta introducción a esta fiesta terrorífica.

Se trata de una canción bastante Dark-Pop. Habla de sentirse seguro contigo mismo en la oscuridad, bastante relacionada a la comunidad LGBT+.
Llegado el momento del puente, la mismísima santa de Halloween, “Elvira, la amante de la Oscuridad” se encarga de hablarnos de cómo en la oscuridad podremos ser nosotros mismos sin temor, con una hermosa y terrorífica voz, rindiendo tributo a “Thriller” de Michael Jackson. Es todo un bop esta canción y es idónea para ir encendiendo la fiesta.
Tomada de IMDbLa canción perfecta para un villano. “Ellos dicen que hice algo malo, ¿pues por qué se siente tan bien?” Nos dice Taylor en un coro completamente adictivo y con vibras tenebrosas. Durante la era reputation de Taylor Swift, el uso de imágenes terroríficas y de serpientes por doquier era indispensable (desde ahí me obsesioné con las serpientes), es inevitable que no piense en halloween al ver todo el concepto que se manejó durante esta época, en especial con “I Did Something Bad” y con “Look What You Made Me Do”.
Las perfomances en vivo de esta canción eran gloriosas, en especial en el Reputation Stadium Tour, la gira promocional de ese proyecto. Eran grandes, con una coreografía genial y Karyn, la majestuosa serpiente gigante que la acompañó a los American Music Awards.
¿Puede ser una Buena fiesta de Halloween sin “Thriller” del Rey del Pop? La respuesta definitiva es ¡NO!. Es una de las canciones más representativas de esta fecha, y era inevitable para mí el incluirla en mi playlist. Aunque para las generaciones más jóvenes no les parezca, esta canción es un hito en la música pop y uno de los 4 himnos inmaculados del pop (Vogue, Toxic, Bad Romance y Thriller).
Y es que, incluso para mí, esta canción debe escucharse de forma obligatoria en una fiesta de halloween. Es más, deberían todos aprenderse esta coreografía y tener un momento épico muy al estilo de “Como si tuviera 30”. Un himno de Halloween que merecía entrar en esta playlist llena de íconos musicales.
Tomada de IMDbBajamos un poco el ritmo a la fiesta, pero sin separarnos ni un poco de la temática terrorífica de estas fechas. Lana Del Rey nos sirve una canción bastante terrorífica y con relajadas vibras halloween-escas, en especial con un coro exquisito donde nos dice que ya es la temporada de brujas.
No he podido sacar de mi mente y de mi playlist esta canción, se siente mágica, es como escuchar la voz de una hermosa y misteriosa hada en medio de un bosque encantado a la luz de la luna llena. Se las súper recomiendo, en especial en estas épocas, donde hay que tener cuidado de las brujas, muahahaha.
Tomada de IMDbAhora, un poco más modernos, Ava Max nos sirve una exquisita canción pop, con muchas vibras de Lady Gaga y una deliciosa originalidad que nos trae un pop más fresco. La canción nos presenta a una chica demente, una mujer completamente fuera de su cabeza, dispuesta a hacer maldades y locuras, es hermosa, ardiente pero psicópata.
Con esta canción, que empieza con un pequeño y delicioso grito femenino, Ava Max se ganó su fanaticada y la atención de muchos que la ven como una promesa pop, con una imagen espeluznante y videos bastante teatricales. Deben escucharla, bastante pegajosa.

Nos narra a un hombre que le es infiel a su esposa, yendo a una “tienda de cuerpos”. Kim Petras es colaboradora de esta canción, que nos ofrece un segundo verso que es DÍVINO.
La canción es bastante sensual, con un ritmo genial y fresco, ya viral en TikTok, cuyo lanzamiento es bastante reciente. Sam Smith por fin vuelve a tener el reconocimiento que merece como artista. De Arca podría pasar horas hablando, pero por ahora, solo paso a recomendarles esta sabrosa canción perfecta para sus fiestas de halloween, porque es un reggaetón sabroso pero con unas grandes vibras tenebrosas.

La primera canción de K-Pop en la playlist, es adictiva a la par de tenebrosa, en especial el video musical, el cual se siente con vibras sumamente extrañas. En general, esta banda K-Pop que me enseñó mi hermano, manejan un concepto bastante tétrico en muchas de sus canciones.
El ritmo es super bailable, pero hay algo en la producción de esta canción que se siente terriblemente espeluznante. Idónea para animar la fiesta de Halloween, sobre todo si hay algún fanático de este género.
Un bop que descubrí hoy mismo, se trata de una canción mega tenebrosa, pero con un ritmo que no sale de tu cabeza. Interpretada por una de mis Drag Queen favorita, KATYA, con la colaboración de su mejor amiga Trixie Mattel. La canción usa principalmente ruso como idioma, ya que la persona Katya es rusa. También hace mención de muchas otras reinas sumamente reconocidas, tales como Sasha Velour, Roxxxy Andrews, Ivye Oddly y la mismísima Alaska Thunderfuck.
Todo un bop para fiestas, pero con un concepto sumamente macabro. Pueden escuchar todo el EP, titulado “Vampire Fitness”, se los recomiendo si son fan de las Drag Queens y del terror.

No podía faltar la icónica y terrorífica Melanie Martinez, quien con un aura extraña siempre te hace sentir escalofríos. Esta canción no es la excepción, es una de mis favoritas de su álbum “Cry Baby”, en especial al momento de llegar al puente, donde usa el típico “eenie meenie miny mo” y sigue la canción de forma tenebrosa.
La canción hace referencias al abuso sexual de una forma muy retorcida, pero es una obra total de arte y merecía entrar en esta lista.
Llegamos al final de esta playlist con este ícono de canción. De los mismísimos Backstreet Boys, con un vídeo que ha pasado a la historia de la música pop como un gran ícono, con referencias a la coreografía del Rey del Pop. La canción es buenísima, el video es genialidad pura. No hay mucho que agregar de una canción que es prácticamente indispensable para cualquier fiesta de Halloween.
Faltan muchísimas canciones de esta playlist, que además sigue creciendo gracias a recomendaciones de amigos. Es genial tener toda una playlist dedicada a mi festividad favorita, y es aún más genial saber que puedo compartirla acá con ustedes y decirle algunas de las mejores canciones de la lista. Además, pueden descubrir canciones nuevas que quizá terminen gustándoles.
