Greetings fellow musical Hivers 馃
Hello there dear reader 馃榿 Can you feel the mystic in the air? It's week 50 of Three Tune Tuesday and oh boy, do I like round numbers 馃槅馃槏!! I would say I consider myself a septic superstitious person. Let me clarify that dear reader.
To me that means that I do not believe in paranormal, mystic forces or superstitions truly while I don't have absolute proof they exist, that is, experience it. However I'm not one to mess or confidently say there's not such a thing as powerful, anonymous forces out there. I believe we just simply don't have the knowledge or awareness to understand certain things. I will say I prefer to stay ignorant in some areas, like ghosts and spirits (note to self - yap, I don't wanna know!).
Why is this relevant you ask, dear reader? Well... It isn't actually 馃槅 It just occurred to me and I'm currently having a blank for new unique ways to start my posts (note to self - don't judge! 馃槅). Hehehe, so there you have a little curiosity about me. 馃
Right, so let's get this, hopefully groovy, post going 馃槃?
Three Tune Tuesday 馃幐
For those of you who don't know, Three Tune Tuesday was created by and as he explains 馃憞
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning a prize.
With that being said, for this special 50th week I'm going back to my roots once more and choose a portuguese international band called The Black Mamba. One cool thing about them is that they also sing in English so I thought it would be a neat band to share and acknowledge 馃憣.
If you usually watch the Eurovision Song Contest you probably know them, since they participated last year in Rotterdam 馃槏. Also, today I have selected 3 songs from them that I think will be a cool mix from both worlds so don't go anywhere just yet dear reader 馃槑!
They have a variety of songs, with both portuguese and english lyrics. I'm not entirely sure but I would say their genre varies from jazz to funk and even some ballads. I actually met these guys live at a little village festival here in Portugal called As Vindimas, I think around 2017 or something. It's an annual party happening during the grape harvest season. It's a village known for their vines and wines. Modesty aside Portugal has top class wine 馃嵎馃嵎馃嵎.
I didn't know this band before that awesome night out with friends and I really liked their style. So, to match my mood from that time I saw them live, and as today I'm feeling happy and accomplished I have handpicked 3 songs that fit my mood the best (note to self - after spending 3 hours listening to their albums) 馃槏. I hope you enjoy it 馃槉!
馃懐馃憺馃槑 Dear reader, get some space so you can move because we're about to get funky! 馃槑馃憺馃懐
My 3 song recommendation 馃槑
1 - Slow it Down - The Black Mamba
Please tell me this song got you moving!! 馃榿 Maybe it's just my good mood today that's making me feel this grooviness. For that same reason I'm very curious to read feedback I'll (hopefully) get from you dear reader. 馃槏 Let me know what you think about it in the comment section 馃槉 Actually, I'm in such a good mood and just enjoying it, that I even didn't realised this song has more than 9 minutes 馃槻馃槻馃槻. Wow amazing is that?!
Did you notice the time passing by? If not I'll consider that a very good sign! 馃憣馃憣
2 - Can莽茫o de Mim Mesmo - The Black Mamba
So here we have a song in Portuguese 馃槉 Even though you may not understand the lyrics, did you like the tune and melody? 馃榿 And the voice from Pedro Tatanka is just so damn sexy! (note to self - yeah, major crush, he's a hottie!). I think it's one of the most high pitch beautiful male voices I have heard. I really dig his voice 馃槡.
3 - Darkest Hour - The Black Mamba & Ant贸nio Zambujo
For this last one I thought it would be a cool idea to go with a mix between English and Portuguese 馃榿馃榿. I only found that this song existed today which is awesome (note to self - I love doing #ttt posts 鉂わ笍) ! Here, The Black Mamba joins a Portuguese popular singer and songwriter that I also adore, called Ant贸nio Zambujo. They have such a groove, feeling and rhythm I just feel like slow dancing... 馃拑
Since I'm getting that round number 50 uplifting vybe, this week I'll leave here a bonus track of their Eurovision song. They didn't win, but they got to the finals and placed 7th 馃. I hope you like it 馃挐
That's it from me today dear reader! I really hope you enjoyed listening to these cool tunes and maybe even danced a little 馃槉. It's exciting to see TTT already hitting the 50th mark which means is doing this for almost a year in a row, every week!
So, I would like to take on this opportunity to thank him for keeping this initiative alive and going that made possible for me now to be a part of it. 馃 You rock man! I appreciate your dedication and commitment 馃檹.
Take care and see ya next Tuesday! 馃憢
