It's that time of week again to take part in 's Three Tune Tuesday. It's been going a year now and it's a great initiative. First of all I am big into my music so I life to hear new stuff. I feel I have exhausted many genres that has made me broaden my horizons so Hive is a great place to listen to music from all corners of the globe.
Secondly Tuesday is a day where I'm at a loss for a post so it's a perfect time to post about music.
So last week I mentioned Fleetwood Mac. I had a Lindsey Buckingham song in my Three Tune Tuesday last week. But I never did a Fleetwood Mac Three Tune Tuesday. Fleetwood Mac were a mad band with a turbulent past. At one stage a Fleetwood Mac went touring but without the original band members and they only found out by reading it on a national newspaper. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham have had an up and down past to say the least.
But taking all the mad stuff out, the band were actually geniuses. Now I never like to do the 3 main hits of any band. I like to give the Hive Community songs that are off the beaten track but there is one song which I think is my favourite song of all time so I'm gonna go with this as my first song.
The Chain
This song is just an epic classic from start to finish. The famous ending is associated with Formula 1 and driving fast cars. In my opinion it is the best ending for a song ever, even better than Hotel California. It's quite easy for a beginner guitarists to play the end bit as well which made me like it more. Just keep bending the G string on the 17th and 19th fret. I remember myself and my friend started learning the bass and guitar and this was the first song where we both looked at each other while playing and thought, we might be onto something here. The bass for the song is probably more famous than the solo.
Second Hand News
This is a nice little short one. I liked this one more this year for some reason. As I said before I like different songs from different bands at different times in my life. My memories in my life are surrounded by music. So if I hear a song it brings me back to a certain era in my life. Second Hand News will bring me back to 2022.
Oh Well
I heard this one by a local band when I was 18 and I didn't know what band created it. There was no Shazam in those days so it took me a couple of years to find out. I actually asked the lead singer in the cover band and I was in shock when he told me it was Fleetwood Mac. This song doesn't sound like Fleetwood Mac. It sounds like a more rock song but I just love the intro lick on the guitar. I do like the little drum symbol thing at the end of the verse as well.
So that is it for my Three Tune Tuesday. There are many songs I have to mention as they are so good. Everywhere, Landslide, Dreams. Those three songs above are massive hits that are great classics in their own right. Thanks to for starting the initiative. I will match
with his HBI for this week to the winner.
Cheers.
