Hi Folks
Well, today was interesting, I saw a video on Facebook which was of a friend of mine named Ryan who had written a beautiful song on his Mandola.
I was inspired by it to take a shot at coming up with something new myself
so I've reworked and reworded "This Land Is Your Land " by Woody Guthrie and taken a sprinkle of inspiration from Matt Heckler's "Blue Eyes Dancing"
My version is inspired by Scottish locations rather than the USA locations found in Woody Guthrie's song.
I used an typewriter effect to write out the words of the song as I sing them,an effect which I belive
really complements this style of song.
I hope you guys enjoy this catchy upbeat little number.
"This Land Is Your Land"
This land is your land
This land is my land
From John O Groats
Out to the Islands
I heard a voice echo all around me
Saying this land's the place I'll stay.
So come on Ryan
Get our spirits flyin
Take out your Mandola
Tune up and play....
I walk along a Highland highway
And up above me an endless skyway
I follow footsteps, down an ancient trackway
To pick some brambles by the byway...
Agian that voice echoes all around me
Saying this land is where I'll stay...
The sun was shining,as I was strollin
Through the heather with the clouds a rollin
I saw a sign,that said no tresspassin
But at that sign I cant help laughing...
Cause this land is your land
This land is my land
Fae John O Groats
Out to the Islands
I heard a voice echo all around me
Saying this land is where I'll stay...
So come on Ryan
Get our spirits flyin
Get your Mandola
Come on let's play!....
This land is your land
This land is my land
Fae John O Groats
Out to the Islands
I heard a voice echo all around me
Saying this land is where I'll stay!
