de ser un desconocido al ser el bajista de Paco Amoroso y Ca7riel
Que tal, Music. ¿Sabes quién es “Tiolabomba”? actualmente, hay un bombazo mundial por parte de un dúo de músicos argentinos, ellos son “Paco Amoroso y Ca7riel” que gracias al “Tiny Desk” se proyectaron al público anglo, generando un bombazo mundial, pero hoy no voy a hablar de ellos sino de “Felipe Brandy”; pero, ¿Quién es Felipe?
Do you know who “Tiolabomba” is? Currently, there is a worldwide bombshell by a duo of Argentine musicians, they are “Paco Amoroso and Ca7riel” that thanks to “Tiny Desk” were projected to the Anglo public, generating a worldwide bombshell, but today I am not going to talk about them but about “Felipe Brandy”; but, who is Felipe?
“Felipe Brandy” es un bajista autodidacta argentino, nativo de Buenos Aires y actualmente forma parte de la banda de “paco y Ca7riel”. Desde joven se identificó con el contrabajo y aprendió d forma autodidacta, aunque al ir aumentando su necesidad de conocimiento, ingresó a una escuela de música, aunque se mantuvo buscando aprender por sí mismo. Con el tiempo formó parte de varios grupos, donde su banda preferida era “caca Barrilete” todo esto antes de conocer a paco y catriel, quienes al escucharlos lo convocaron a un proyecto llamado “Astor” que era un rock progresivo, es acá donde inicia la amistad entre ellos.
“Felipe Brandy” is a self-taught Argentine bass player, native of Buenos Aires and currently part of the band ‘paco y Ca7riel’. Since he was young he identified himself with the double bass and learned self-taught, but as his need for knowledge increased, he entered a music school, although he kept looking to learn by himself. Over time he was part of several groups, where his favorite band was “Caca Barrilete” all this before meeting Paco and Catriel, who upon hearing them called him to a project called “Astor” which was a progressive rock, this is where the friendship between them began.
Astor, era una banda de rock, todo lo contrario, a lo que se hace ahora, acá paco tocaba la batería, Catriel la guitarra y voz, teniendo algunos temas grabados que son realmente magníficos. Es acá donde inicia una gran amistad entre ellos, en buenos aires, pero con el tiempo el cansancio los fue arropando al siempre tocar para las mismas personas; Felipe, siempre estuvo feliz por tocar, pero paco y catriel, decidieron un cambio que les cambió la vida.
Astor, was a rock band, the opposite of what is done now, here Paco played drums, Catriel played guitar and vocals, having recorded some songs that are really great. It is here where a great friendship between them began, in Buenos Aires, but over time the fatigue was wrapping them by always playing for the same people; Felipe, was always happy to play, but Paco and Catriel, decided to make a change that changed their lives.
Nace una estrella o estrellas, cuando paco y catriel hacen todo lo necesario para cambiar el rumbo de su música, convocaron a Felipe a formar parte de esa locura, que se convirtió en “Paco Amoroso y Ca7riel”. Acá empezó a pasar todo muy rápido y gracias a esto logramos conocer a este gran bajista, quien tiene una excelente forma de tocar y en el “Tiny Desk” se notó su gran nivel en ejecución.
A star or stars are born, when Paco and Catriel do everything necessary to change the course of their music, they called Felipe to be part of this madness, which became “Paco Amoroso y Ca7riel”. Here everything started to happen very fast and thanks to this we got to know this great bass player, who has an excellent way of playing and in the “Tiny Desk” his great level of execution was noticed.
Acá espero traer más allá de los artífices de esta música, a esos que tal vez no estén al frente, pero son un pilar fundamental en su música. Espero les haya gustado esta reseña y les dejo un video para que escuchen este excelente proyecto musical.
