Hello, Hivers. Today I want to talk about an instrument perhaps little known and little loved by many who want to play an instrument, the "electric bass"; an instrument that can have 4, 5, 6 and even more strings depending on what the bassist requires, but the most common is 4 strings. The electric bass, over the years has evolved as an accompaniment that, since the early twentieth century, in many genres was only an accompaniment in productions and ensembles and until now has become a key piece for any group. The bass has many techniques among them the finger technique, the most common and used by bassists, the Slap, technique perfected by bassists like Marcus Miller or Victor Wooten, tapping, double slap, among many others.
This time I want to show you tracks where the bass remains intermittent leaving that void, perhaps uncomfortable that many have not considered thanks to the misconception of "the bass is not heard" just remove that bass sound to realize its powerful absence. As a bass player I will give myself the task of showing you with three different tracks, with different genres, how the bass in many occasions can even become the fundamental pillar of a musical production and giving this instrument the place it deserves, as I said before, keeping an intermittence and explaining each part, I hope this post serves a little to show the importance of this instrument.

Hoy quiero hablarles de un instrumento tal vez, poco conocido y poco querido por muchos quienes quieren tocar un instrumento, el “Bajo eléctrico”; un instrumento que puede tener 4, 5,6 y hasta más cuerdas dependiendo lo que requiera el bajista, pero el más común es de 4 cuerdas. El bajo eléctrico, con los años ha evolucionado como acompañamiento que, desde principios del siglo XX, en muchos géneros solo era un acompañante en producciones y ensambles y hasta ahora se ha convertido en una pieza clave para cualquier agrupación. El bajo tiene muchas técnicas entre ellas la técnica a dedos, la más común y usada por bajistas, el Slap, técnica perfeccionada por bajistas como Marcus Miller o Victor Wooten, el tapping, doble slap, entre muchas otras. En esta ocasión quiero mostrarles pistas donde el bajo se mantiene intermitente dejando ese vacío, tal vez incomodo que muchos no han considerado gracias al mal concepto de “el bajo no se escucha” basta con quitar ese sonido grave para darnos cuenta de su poderosa ausencia. Yo como bajista me daré la tarea de mostrarles con tres temas diferentes, con géneros diferentes, como el bajo en muchas ocasiones puede hasta llegar a ser el pilar fundamental de una producción musical y dándole a este instrumento el puesto que merece, como dije anteriormente, manteniendo una intermitencia y explicando cada parte, espero este post sirva un poco para mostrar lo importante de este instrumento.
