for Three Tune Tuesday! πΏ
Welcome to
, the Three Tune Tuesday Edition!β¨
Everyday during the Co-Working Sessions of Creative Work Hour and the second hour, Practice Not Perfect, we run music conducive to enhancing cognitive flow. Neuroscience shows us that flow is a diminishing resource over time, so we design a break between the first and second hour sessions. After a fun break, we get back to work.
Our "in-house radio stations" provide a more rock-n-roll or pop music stretch break between these two sessions. Because we are such an international crew, our station has two sets of call letters. Taking inspiration from the American radio stations, we have KCWH. Inspired by the British radio programming, we have BBCWH Radio 1.
Our Three Tunes Prove We're on the Move...until we're not! π
1. "Movin' Out (Anthony's Spng)" (1982) by Billy Joel
This official video of Movin' Out starts off with a dixieland riff, almost played to throw off the audience. Then the 1, 2, 3, 4 in the Hicksville, NY accent rings out bringing in the opening bars of the propulsive, blue collar standard and the crowd's applause. It's a solid celebration of making it in financially tough times. Perfect for a down day with HIVE, am I right?
2. "Uptown Girl" (1983) by Billy Joel
"Uptown Girl" is a delightful nod to the the musical Grease crossed with the real-life romance of the songwriter and his supermodel wife Christy Brinkley. It's doo-wop inspired pop sound gives a daytime lift to what may be a dim day. We chose this one for its playful melody and nostalgic aspiration.
3. "Hotel California" (1977) by The Eagles
Enough of the bee-bop sweet stuff! We're stil going places, but with this video let's go somewhere dark with a slow burn. This Hotel California performance is from the late seventies in Landover, Maryland after the title track rang out to great success. It is still a live stage performance but with moody visuals to deepen the listeners sense of unease that's intensified by the iconic guitar solos.

Kudos to Three Tune Tuesday founder for his music-sharing initiative on Hive. Started at about the same time as CWH, he kicked off #ttt 244 weeks ago (as of Tuesday, 27 January, 2026) and sponsors it as a weekly event where Hive friends can share three songs in a post. To take part, simply include the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and give a head's up to
so he sees your post.
CWH β Who We Are and What We Do
