Sam Shepherd, British neuroscience PhD turned into globally respected electronic musician as well as leader, composer and arranger for 16-people electronic/jazz big-band Floating Points Ensemble awarded on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards 2010 for the 'Best BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale Session’. Shepherd is also a co-founder of the label Eglo Records and the first artist to release on the label. Beside of own label, he also released his recordings on Ninja Tune & Planet MU and list of his releases contains 26 singles & eps and 4 long play albums, which were very positively acclaimed worldwide. Innovative way of blending electronic and jazz, distinctive sounds, impossible to hear anywhere else since the beginning were an original trademark for his music.
