STUDIO FRIDAY!❣️
Hellouuuuuuuu
Moew... I don't know how to speak anymore! Did I just meow?
I meant, "graaaawl".
It's been a long journey for this song, and if you are wondering why it looks like I am living in a gigantic womb, it was an aesthetic choice, more on this later on, as for the time that it is right now, it seems like the most sensible decision to make, just put a filter on it.
I wanted to cover this song for quite a while, my daughter likes the original song very much, and I personally found it amusing at most, which is a compliment coming from me, the master, Ed.
I like to deconstruct songs, I take pleasure in breaking them down, strip them of their foundation, and rebuild from the ground up.
It's a painful slow and sometimes sad process, especially for the people around me, I really believe that the torturing part is what makes it more satisfying at the end, and that I can't force it, it needs to come with time, bim bam one morning, I just knew I had to tackle this biatch.
The original song is by Joel Corry x MNEK which I kid you not, are two people's name.
I didn't know that I would go with some dirty funky funk, though it came to me on day 12 I guess, or maybe it was a loop I heard first, it doesn't matter now, it's a damn funk, don't go listen to the original, it's not worth it, it should always have been a funk.
All the instruments are played by this guy, it's produced by Ed, it's directed by a private company called myself.
I wish I could say I don't need anyone, but I also wish I would have notice the darn oil stain on my hoodie, and also the fly, stupid little fly, I wish someone who have said "Hey Ed, there's a fly on your arm, you dirty farm boy". But at the same time, now we got some cool filter going 😌
If you want to know about the instruments, there is a double bass (virtual instrument played on midi key), virtual drums, guitar, keyboard, tambourine, backing vocals, it's mixed in Cubase Elements 9.5.
For the style of play, I went for "Good Sunday Wedding Band", that isn't good enough to be the main act, but that can totally do a set after the karaoke brunch.
A quick word on the direction of the "music video", I wanted to make an effect where you bounce from one side to the other in the room, like you're teleporting. That's about it, let's now talk to the director of photography, Roger.
Roger? Are you there?
Roger: Yes, it's roger speaking, I went with some pink shit to cover the oil stain.
Thanks Roger, back to you people, let me know in the comment section what YOU'D LIKE TO DECONSTRUCT [insert wife joke] in life.
This is going to be officially holidays season, I might take a break from Studio Friday, and just make some simple live music instead of having weird god complex thinking I can reinvent the musical wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeel.
This is also a last attempt to drive traffic on my Youtube channel before abandoning ship, I am not sure what's going on, I've been good, not one single conspiracy theory thoughts, I've been visiting the Ministry of Truth once a week for my re-education program, I should be able to get more views, my social credit score allows it.
Now let's end today's post with a quote from the song:
Bum bum bum da bum bum, bum bum bum da bum
Bum bum bum da bum bum, bum bum bum da bum
