Hoy estuve cantando con la Cantoría José Antonio Anzoátegui en el evento Juntas somos invencibles, organizado para conmemorar el Día de la Mujer, brindando a los presentes diferentes muestras de arte.
Tenía que estar allí a las 9:00 a.m.; siempre es usual que se nos pida estar una hora antes de que comience el evento, para poder vocalizar y dar guías oportunas. Suelo llegar muy puntual a las presentaciones, así que hoy fui la primera en estar en el lugar convenido un poco antes de las 10:00 a.m.
Today I was singing with the José Antonio Anzoátegui Choir at the event Together We Are Invincible, organized to commemorate Women's Day, offering those present different art performances.
I had to be there at 9:00 a.m.; we are always asked to arrive an hour before the event begins so that we can warm up our voices and give timely guidance. I usually arrive very punctually for performances, so today I was the first to arrive at the agreed location, a little before 10:00 a.m.
Como les comenté ayer, la presentación sería en una sala de cine, lugar en el que nunca antes había cantado. Fue una experiencia bien diferente; la acústica, debo confesar que dio trabajo, pero al final todo salió bien.
El lugar estaba casi lleno y noté que, mientras hacíamos nuestra presentación, se sumaba más gente. Una de las canciones más aplaudidas fue "Los Grifiñafitos", un golpe tocuyano, cuya letra consta de fragmentos de tres trabalenguas, así que imaginen tener que cantar frases de este calibre: "Como poco como" coco (lol).
As I mentioned yesterday, the performance would be in a movie theater, a place where I had never sung before. It was a very different experience; I must admit that the acoustics were challenging, but in the end, everything turned out well.
The place was almost full, and I noticed that more people were arriving while we were performing. One of the most applauded songs was “Los Grifiñafitos,” a golpe tocuyano, whose lyrics consist of fragments of three tongue twisters, so imagine having to sing phrases of this caliber: “Como poco como” coco (lol).
Esta pieza en particular está instrumentalmente acompañada de una forma estupenda, pues tres integrantes del coro tocan el cuatro venezolano en esta pieza. ¡Con esta canción estalla la venezolanidad!
Fue una linda participación y, al terminar el concierto, las chicas fuimos sorprendidas con una bella rosa que los organizadores del evento tuvieron a bien darnos.
Sin lugar a dudas, fue una mañana de domingo diferente y especial; sigo sumando lindas experiencias a mi vida gracias a la música. ¡Gracias a la vida por estos regalos!

It was a lovely performance, and at the end of the concert, the girls were surprised with a beautiful rose that the event organizers kindly gave us.
