Who created the joropo?
Its origins date back to the mid 1700's when Venezuelan peasants preferred to use the term "joropo" instead of "fandango" to refer to parties and social and family gatherings. Fandango is a term of Spanish origin, which identifies one of the most popular flamenco songs and dances.
