It is time for another #ThreeTuneTuesday. For those not familiar with it, here's an explanation.
About 82 Weeks ago started this incredible movement:
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Or why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and hopefully upvote it. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music.
Sometimes live outside of Hive catches up with us. So it was for me and I did not find the time to prepare a post for #ttt for the last two weeks. But as you can see, I am back on track again. 😃
With that in mind the selection of the first song was easy. Marius Müller-Westernhagen's "Ich bin wieder hier" literally translates to "I am back again".
Unfortunately I discovered Westernhagen not before I was around 16 years old. But when I did, I was fascinated by his music as well as his lyrics. Though I doubt I would have appreciated his style when I was younger.
The only album I bought was the then released "Affentheater" with the main track "Es geht mir gut" - "I feel fine"
The song that touched my life the most is "Lass uns leben" - "Let us live". With the main chorus line "Lass uns leben, das Leben is gar nicht so schwer" - "Come let us live, living is not that hard" it was part of getting me out of some dark times in my life.
Marius Müller-Westernhagen has a lot of other great tunes, unfortunately there is only room for three. But if you enjoyed these and didn't know him yet, I suggest you check out "Freiheit" - "Freedom", another great ballad similar to "Lass uns leben".
Other great songs by him are also waiting to be played, I will give them a go in another posting with another topic one day.
For several weeks I have been presenting German artists in my #ttt posting.
If you are not a native German speaker and not living in Germany (or Switzerland or Austria 😉) I am curious to find out if you know any other German artists I have not listed yet.
Thank you for reading and listening.
Keep on rocking 🤘
Bis zum nächsten mal.
