Esta sección de mi blog básicamente son las canciones que yo considero absurdamente buenas de algún cantante o banda. Esas canciones que despiertan demasiadas cosas en mí, ya sea felicidad, tristeza o cualquier otra emoción. Prohibidas de lo buenas que son. Y son tan buenas que necesito que ustedes también la escuchen.

Hoy te hablaré de las canciones más icónicas, a mi parecer, de Coldplay. Las que yo considero insuperables.

Coldplay es una banda que tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón, ya que en los momentos más difíciles de mi vida sus canciones siempre han estado allí para sostenerme, y en los momentos en los que quiero despejarme allí están para hacerme bailar y simplemente disfrutar unos minutos la vida.
Coldplay is a band that has a special place in my heart, because in the most difficult moments of my life their songs have always been there to sustain me, and in the moments when I want to clear my head they are there to make me dance and just enjoy life for a few minutes.
Coldplay es una banda de origen británico con un sonido bastante pop-rock y alternativo, formada desde 1996. Empecé a amarlos cuando estaba en la preparatoria (bachillerato en Venezuela). Y no había día que no los escuchara. En honor al amor que les tengo quiero que hablar de mis canciones favoritas de ellos.
Coldplay is a British band with a very pop-rock and alternative sound, formed since 1996. I started to love them when I was in high school (high school in Venezuela). And there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't listen to them. In honor of the love I have for them, I want to talk about my favorite songs of theirs.
1. Fix You
Está canción es un himno y nunca falta en sus conciertos. Es mi canción favorita de ellos y honestamente, la que me ablanda el corazón. Es inevitable no escucharla sin sentir que el corazón se me arruga un poco. Nos habla de una persona que quiere sanar a otra o al menos ayudarla. Se trata de sostener a un ser querido en un momento difícil y hacerle saber que todo va a estar bien.
This song is an anthem and is never missing in their concerts. It is my favorite song of theirs and honestly, the one that softens my heart. It's inevitable not to listen to it without feeling my heart crumple a little. It tells us about a person who wants to heal another or at least help them. It's about holding a loved one in a difficult time and letting them know that everything is going to be okay.
Esta canción fue mi consuelo en mi adolescencia, pasé por momentos bastante complicados y me la dediqué a mí misma. Y siempre he sentido que Fix You es un abrazo al alma. Y me recuerda que al final vamos a encontrar nuestro camino, que siempre hay una luz al final del túnel y que todo, absolutamente todo pasa en esta vida. Actualmente sigue siendo mi consuelo, en momentos difíciles de mi vida.
This song was my comfort in my teenage years, I went through some pretty tough times and I dedicated it to myself. And I've always felt that Fix You is a hug to the soul. And it reminds me that in the end, we will find our way, that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and that everything, absolutely everything happens in this life. Currently, it continues to be my comfort, in difficult moments of my life.
Esta canción es terapéutica y no lo digo solo yo, sino el propio Chris Martin, ya que la sacaron en un momento difícil de la banda y esta canción era todo lo que necesitaban.

2. Viva La Vida
Otro himno de esta increíble banda. Les contaré un poco de su historia. La frase "viva la vida" no se escucha en ningún momento de la canción. Y el nombre de esta canción surgió cuando Chris Martin, el vocalista de la banda, durante una gira en México, vio un cuadro de Frida Khalo que tenía el mismo nombre: " viva la vida" y le pareció brillante para una canción. Y mucho más brillante le pareció luego de conocer la historia de Frida, quién tuvo una vida llena de bastante sufrimiento, ella estaba enferma y el último cuadro que pintó fue uno en óleo con patillas. Cuando Frida supo que le quedaban pocos días de vida, escribió en él la frase "viva la vida". Una mujer que incluso en su lecho de muerte no dejó nunca de celebrar la vida y de creer en su valor.

The lyrics talk about a king who lost his kingdom, who realizes all the wrong he did, and feels regret. The song is written as if it were King Louis XVI speaking. The song celebrates freedom and the triumph of the revolution. This song is an ode to freedom. It is poetic.
Es gracioso que la disquera no quería que añadieran esta canción al álbum. Y vaya éxito que tuvo.
It's funny that the label didn't want them to add this song to the album. And what a success it was.
3. Yellow
Yellow es una de las canciones más conocidas de la banda y la favorita de los enamorados para dedicar. Creo que son pocas las personas que no la han dedicado.

Es la demostración de amor hecha canción. Para decirle a tu pareja lo hermosa que te parece y lo especial que es para ti. Para decirle todo lo que harías por ella y si fuera necesario, hasta la vida darías. Para decirle que ella es color amarillo, como el color de las estrellas. Y es algo curioso, pero para mí, el amarillo es paz, es ternura, es buenas vibras, es amoroso, así que, para mí, decirle a alguien que es una persona color amarillo, es un gran halago.
It is the demonstration of love made song. Tell your partner how beautiful you think she is and how special she is to you. Esta es una de las canciones más desgarradoras de Coldplay y no importa si estás en la relación más sana y estable, porque cada vez que la escuchas vas sentirte igual de triste jajaja.

It's about a guy who talks to his ex-partner, and looking for her to ask her forgiveness for all the damage he did and tell her that he needs her, that he wants everything to go back to the way it was before. And he asks her herself what's on her mind.
Creo que es el clásico caso de que no sabes lo que tienes hasta que lo pierdes. Cuando ya no tienes nada es cuando te pones a pensar y te flexionar sobre tus errores. Y es allí cuando sí te importa reparar las cosas... Lamentable.
I think it's a classic case of you don't know what you have until you lose it. When you don't have anything anymore is when you start to think and reflect on your mistakes. And that's when you do care about repairing things... Pitiful.
5. A Sky Full of Stars
Seguro han escuchado esta canción en la película Bajo La Misma Estrella, y puede, PUEDE, que hayan llorado un poquito.
I'm sure you've heard this song in the movie Under the Same Star, and you may, MAYBE, have cried a little bit.
Esta canción me genera mucha nostalgia. Esta canción es felicidad pura, y si bien es cierto que en ella le dices a alguien lo especial que es, y que ilumina tu vida. Creo que lo más especial de esta canción es su melodía. El ritmo que tiene solo hace que quieras pararte a bailar y saltar por todo el sitio simplemente agradeciendo que estas vivo, o al menos es mi percepción.
This song makes me very nostalgic. This song is pure happiness, and while it's true that in this song you tell someone how special they are, and that they light up your life. I think the most special thing about this song is its melody. The rhythm it has just makes you want to stop and dance and jump all over the place just being thankful that you are alive, or at least that's my perception.

La esencia de Coldplay es el agradecimiento por la vida. Te invita a vivir, a realmente vivir tu vida y disfrutar de las pequeñas cosas. Una banda caracterizada por sus colores y su energía tan vibrante y emocionante en el escenario. Creo que ir a un concierto de Coldplay debe ser algo totalmente celestial. Muero por ir a uno de sus conciertos antes que se retiren.
The essence of Coldplay is gratitude for life. It invites you to live, to live your life, and enjoy the little things. A band characterized by its colors and energy so vibrant and exciting on stage. I think going to a Coldplay concert must be something heavenly. I'm dying to go to one of their concerts before they retire.
