¿Qué mejor manera de arrancar la semana que con la energía inagotable de Antonio Vivaldi? Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi interpretación de una de las obras más emblemáticas del repertorio violinístico: el
Concerto en Re Mayor, Op. 3 No. 9, perteneciente a su famosa colección "L'estro Armonico".
Dicen que el lunes define el tono de la semana, así que decidí que la mía sonará brillante, ágil y llena de vida, tal como lo exige esta partitura.
🎼Un poco de contexto: ¿Qué estamos
escuchando?
Esta pieza forma parte del Opus 3 de Vivaldi, publicado en Ámsterdam en 1711. El título de la colección, "L'estro Armonico", se traduce como "La Inspiración Armónica", y vaya que lo es. Fue una obra revolucionaria que influyó incluso a Bach (quien de hecho transcribió este concierto para teclado).
Lo que me encanta de este concierto en particular (el No. 9) es su tonalidad: Re Mayor. En el violín, esta tonalidad resuena de una forma muy natural y abierta, permitiendo que el instrumento "cante" con mucha proyección.
Como pueden ver en las imágenes de la partitura que he estado estudiando, el primer movimiento (Allegro) es un diálogo constante. Vivaldi juega con los contrastes entre el "Solo" (cuando el violín protagonista brilla) y el "Tutti" (toda la orquesta, aunque aquí yo llevo la batuta)
🎻Sobre mi ejecución
Tocar a Vivaldi parece sencillo al oído por lo pegajoso de sus melodías, pero ejecutarlo requiere mucha precisión. El arco debe ser ligero, casi saltarín (lo que llamamos un détaché o spiccato barroco), y el ritmo debe ser implacable, como un motor que no se detiene.
En este video, me enfoqué en:
• Mantener la limpieza en las escalas rápidas.
• Darle ese carácter festivo que pide el Allegro.
• Disfrutar cada nota, porque si el músico no disfruta,¡el público tampoco!

What better way to start the week than with Antonio Vivaldi's inexhaustible energy? Today I want to share with you my interpretation of one of the most emblematic works of the violin repertoire: the
Concerto in R Major, Op. 3 No. 9, belonging to his famous collection "L'estro Armonico".
They say that Monday defines the tone of the week, so I decided that mine will sound bright, agile and full of life, as this score demands.
🎼A little context: What are we listening?
This piece is part of Vivaldi's Opus 3, published in Amsterdam in 1711. The title of the collection, "L'estro Armonico", translates as "The Harmonic Inspiration", and it is. It was a revolutionary work that even influenced Bach (who in fact transcribed this concert for keyboard).
What I love about this particular concert (No. 9) is its tonality: D Major. In the violin, this tone resonates in a very natural and open way, allowing the instrument to "sing" with a lot of projection.
As you can see in the images of the score that I have been studying, the first movement (Allegro) is a constant dialogue. Vivaldi plays with the contrasts between the "Solo" (when the protagonist violin shines) and the "Tutti" (the whole orchestra, although here I take the baton)
🎻About my execution
Playing Vivaldi seems simple to the ear because of the stickiness of its melodies, but running it requires a lot of precision. The bow must be light, almost jumping (what we call a détaché or baroque spiccato), and the rhythm must be relentless, like an engine that does not stop.
In this video, I focused on:
• Maintain cleanliness on fast scales.
• Give it that festive character that Allegro asks for.
• Enjoy every note, because if the musician doesn't enjoy it, neither does the audience!
