El pasado sábado 7 de febrero, bajo la batuta magistral de nuestra directora Elisa Vegas, nos presentamos en el Paraninfo de la UNIMET para un concierto que titulamos "Retratos del Amor: Visiones Orquestales".
Una velada de "Visiones Orquestales"
El programa fue una travesía por las emociones. No se trató solo de tocar notas, sino de pintar paisajes sonoros que evocaran la complejidad del amor. Desde el primer ensayo, sabíamos que este repertorio requería una sensibilidad especial.
🎻 El corazón de la orquesta
La preparación para un concierto de este calibre es intensa. Como músico, hay una conexión mística que ocurre cuando todos respiramos al mismo tiempo antes de una entrada. En los videos pueden observar el despliegue de la sección de cuerdas y cómo la dinámica fluye desde el podio de la directora hacia cada uno de nosotros.
🎶 El Plato Fuerte: Romeo y Julieta de Tchaikovsky
Si hay una obra que define la lucha entre el odio y el amor más puro, es la Obertura-Fantasía Romeo y Julieta de Piotr llich Tchaikovsky.
Como músicos, interpretar esta pieza es un reto técnico y emocional. Pasar de los ataques violentos que representan la disputa entre los Capuleto y los Montesco, a la dulzura infinita del famoso "tema de amor", requiere una entrega total. En el video que les comparto, pueden sentir esa tensión y la resolución majestuosa de la orquesta. ¡La acústica del Paraninfo hizo que cada nota de las cuerdas vibrara directo en el pecho!
Más que colegas, una familia
Lo mejor de pertenecer a la "Ayacucho" es la gente. Al finalizar el concierto, con la adrenalina aún a tope y la satisfacción del deber cumplido, aprovechamos para inmortalizar el momento. Nada como compartir la música con personas que se vuelven tu familia.

Last Saturday, February 7, under the keynote of our director Elisa Vegas, we presented ourselves at the Paraninfo of UNIMET for a concert entitled "Portraits of Love: Orchestral Visions".
An evening of "Orchestal Visions"
The program was a journey through emotions. It was not just about playing notes, but about painting sound landscapes that evoked the complexity of love. From the first rehearsal, we knew that this repertoire required a special sensitivity.
🎻 The heart of the orchestra
The preparation for a concert of this caliber is intense. As a musician, there is a mystical connection that occurs when we all breathe at the same time before an entrance. In the videos you can observe the deployment of the string section and how the dynamic flows from the director's podium to each of us.
🎶 The Main Course: Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky
If there is a work that defines the struggle between hatred and the purest love, it is the Overture-Fantasy Romeo and Juliet Of Piotr llich Tchaikovsky.
As musicians, performing this piece is a technical and emotional challenge. Moving from the violent attacks that represent the dispute between the Capulets and the Montescos, to the infinite sweetness of the famous "love theme", requires total surrender. In the video I share with you, you can feel that tension and the majestic resolution of the orchestra. The acoustics of the Paraninfo made every note of the strings vibrate directly into the chest!
More than colleagues, a family
The best thing about belonging to the "Ayacucho" is the people. At the end of the concert, with the adrenaline still at full capacity and the satisfaction of the duty fulfilled, we took the opportunity to immortalize the moment. Nothing like sharing music with people who become your family.
