I send greetings to the community of musicians and to all Hive users in general! Today I am pleased to present a cover of a very special song for me. This song came into my life at a time of changes, in my last year of high school, and since then it has accompanied me in each of my evolutions as a person.
Its name is "Something Is Changing" (Algo Está Cambiando), and it was composed by the Argentine Coti and the Mexican Julieta Venegas. The latter included and promoted it as the third single from her third album titled "Yes"(Sí). I remember that it was a hit in Latin America and was placed at number one in the Billboard Latin Pop Songs; also, its music video is one of the best I have ever seen, at the end of the post I will share a link for you to enjoy it too.
My version is very simple, I simply accompany myself with my musical instrument which is the cuatro, the song makes me go back to my beginnings, when I had no microphone, computer and much less thought of playing a musical instrument, so I just took some shots with my Alcatel Cameo X and made small edits to the video with Shot Cut. I always edit the photos with PhotoDirector.
I hope everyone likes it, I know I'm not the best at playing my musical instrument, but I felt happy and very confident singing this time. It's a very different version from the original, but I feel that's the magic of doing covers, taking over the songs. Este tema llegó a mi vida en un momento de cambios, en mi último año de bachillerato, y desde allí me ha acompañado en cada una de mis evoluciones como persona.
Su nombre es "Algo Está Cambiando", y fue compuesta entre el argentino Coti y la mexicana Julieta Venegas. Esta última la incluyó y promocionó como el tercer single de su tercer álbum titulado "Sí". Recuerdo que fue todo un éxito en Latinoamérica y se colocó en el puesto número uno del Billboard Latin Pop Songs; además, su video musical es uno de los mejores que he podido ver, al final del post les compartiré un enlace para que lo disfrutes tú también.
Mi versión es muy sencilla, simplemente me acompaño con mi instrumento musical que es el cuatro, la canción me hace volver a mis inicios, cuando no tenía micrófono, computadora y mucho menos pensaba tocar algún instrumento musical, así que solo tomé algunas tomas con mi Alcatel Cameo X y le hice pequeñas ediciones al video con Shot Cut. Espero sea del agrado de todos, sé que no soy el mejor tocando mi instrumento musical, pero me sentí feliz y muy seguro de mí mismo cantando en esta oportunidad.
