Welcome Music Lovers to another episode of Three Tunes Tuesday where I’ll share with you some of my favourite songs as originated by . And I hope you guys have a blast listening to it.
So, I initially wanted to go with some songs I’ve been listening to recently but when I heard them again, I realized they all sounded kind of….sad. Yes, they’re beautiful songs but they gave off this vibe of reminiscing about things that once were. And which is not bad in itself. But I’m trying to spread positive energy that will not in any way make anyone sigh and drift off to think.😂
Hence, I picked the songs listed below. They are by three wonderful women and yes, these women sing a lot about self-love, girl power and all of that. It’s not in any way restricted to just females so here goes.
First off,
Sit Still Look Pretty by Daya
This song was released on the 4th of September, 2015. I first listened to the song about a year ago though and it thrills me every time. It’s not just the rhythm but the lyrics that made me smile the first time I listened to it. It talks about a girl who refuses to be content with being a trophy girl, wearing expensive things and all of that. Who would prefer to work for her keep and just be still and yunno….look pretty.😁
The next is,
Title by Meghan Trainor
This song was released on the 9th of January, 2015 but its video was uploaded by December 2021. I shared a song by Meghan Trainor the last time and I still maintain that she’s one of my best female artistes. She gives you that exquisite rhythm and still combines it with interesting lyrics that all women and even men can relate to. Trainor demands that her partner clearly defines their relationship and calls her his girlfriend in the lyrics. Quite interesting indeed.
And last but not least,
The Way I Are by Bebe Rexha ft Lil Wayne
Yet another of my female artistes, this song prompts you to dance to it as clearly states in the lyrics. It was released on the 19th of May, 2017. Its uniqueness and refreshing lyrics, stating “No matter who you are, just love me the way I are. I just wanna dance with somebody,” just rings in your mind to let go and just vibe to the music. The use of ‘are’ instead of ‘am’ which sounds more accurate is what even drew me to the song and the more I listened, the more spot on it sounded.✨
I hope you all get to listen to these songs and enjoy them as much or even more than I did. Don't fail to leave a comment or feedback.❤️
