Greetings to the whole community.
Continuing with my covers in the room
This time I bring a song by Mr. Ben E.King american soul and pop singer and producer.
This song was a US Top 10 hit in the 1960s and in 1986, when it coincided with the theme's release in the movie Stand by Me and the theme's use for a Levi's Jeans ad.
It ranks 25th on the list of the 365 songs of the century compiled in 2001 by the Recording Industry Association of America and 121st on the list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
It was included on his third solo album, Don't Play That Song!
I had been wanting to play it for a long time but I couldn't decide, until I finally found a nice tone for my tone of voice.
When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No, I won't be afraid, oh, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
So darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh, stand by me
Oh, stand, stand by me, stand by me
If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
Or the mountains should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry, no, I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh, stand by me
Whoa, stand now, stand by me, stand by me
Darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh, stand by me
Oh, stand now, stand by me, stand by me
Whenever you're in trouble, won't you stand by me? Oh, stand by me
Whoa, stand now, oh, stand...
stay with me so you can continue enjoying covers like this, I hope you enjoy it.
