Hello music lovers, undoubtedly when talking about songs that were hits in the 90's, I do not hesitate to contribute some of my favorites; for those of us who had the privilege of going through that beautiful and unforgettable stage, it is a kind of mixture between joy and nostalgia, since there were trends or sub genres of music that unfortunately became extinct, or simply were transformed into others, to continue in the adaptations of this universal art, with the arrival of the new millennium.

Hola amantes de la música, indudablemente cuando se habla de canciones que fueron éxitos en los años 90, no dudo en aportar algunas de mis preferidas; para los que tuvimos el privilegio de transitar durante aquella hermosa e inolvidable etapa, resulta una especie de mezcla entre alegría y nostalgia, dado que hubo tendencias o sub géneros de la música que lamentablemente se extinguieron, o sencillamente fueron transformados en otros, para seguir en las adaptaciones de este arte universal, con la llegada del nuevo milenio.
Specifically, I am referring to three songs that were one of those unmissable at disco nights, minitecas wars or the famous Sunday matinees. When this music was playing it was crazy, the dance floors were full and the guys started to dance in a strange way, never seen before hahaha; but that was the fashion, whoever did not dance was out of the loop, there were even dance contests, group choreographies and even television programs that promoted the new rhythm. It was the boom in Europe and here in Latin America, Venezuela was always at the forefront.
Específicamente, me refiero a tres temas que eran de esos imperdibles en las noches de discoteca, guerras de minitecas o las famosas matinées dominicales. Cuando esta música sonaba era la locura, las pistas de baile se llenaban y los muchachos comenzaban a bailar de una manera extraña, jamás vista jajaja; pero esa era la moda, quien no bailaba estaba fuera de onda, incluso hacían concursos de baile, coreografías grupales y hasta programas de televisión que promovían el nuevo ritmo. Era el boom en Europa y acá en Latinoamérica, Venezuela estaba siempre a la vanguardia.
The mix of rhythms had no end, it was one song after another intermingled, the frenzy of the youth expressing their freedom was contagious, the masses joined to the sound of these sounds that seemed to have the magic to make our body move involuntarily. The pleasure of listening to these melodies, moved us to dance to satisfy our senses, although in a healthier way than in other latitudes, where they were accompanied with prohibited substances, those parties of clandestine and illegal character; that sensation of being doing something forbidden, increased the pleasure and the enjoyment of the party.
Las mezclas de ritmos no tenían final, era una canción tras otra entremezcladas, el frenesí de la juventud expresando su libertad era contagiosa, las masas se unían al son de estos sonidos que, parecían tener la magia de hacer mover a nuestro cuerpo de forma involuntaria. El placer escuchar estas melodías, nos movía a bailar para satisfacer nuestros sentidos, aunque de manera más sana que en otras latitudes, donde se acompañaban con sustancias prohibidas, aquellas fiestas de carácter clandestino e ilegal; esa sensación de estar haciendo algo prohibido, incrementaba el placer y el disfrute de la fiesta.

Actualmente rondamos los 30 años de sus inicios y comparto con ustedes, algunos temas inolvidables de dos agrupaciones en las que participó la bella Melanie thornton, quien el pasado 24 de noviembre cumplió 20 años de su fallecimiento en un accidente aéreo.
